BMW opens new brand center in Munich

BMW customers can pay about $600 extra to have their car delivered at the new BMW Welt museum.

BMW expects its new brand center in Munich to become a major tourist attraction.

Ernst Baumann, BMW board member responsible for human resources and industrial relations, said the automaker expects around 850,000 people to visit the center annually.

BMW Welt (BMW World) is located in a new building next to the Bavarian automaker’s Munich headquarters. Part museum and part showroom, customers buying new BMWs can a pay an extra 457 euros, or about $650 at current exchange rates, to pick up their cars there.
